About Mariah Kurtz
Kurtz Consulting was born out of my career experience in non-profits, architectural consulting, and municipal planning. In my time as a planner in a small town located in the most rural county in Massachusetts, I witnessed the struggles that come with small budgets, overworked staff, and the same half dozen or so engaged volunteers. What these towns needed wasn’t a gaggle of folks in suits to charge them exorbitant hourly fees, they just needed some support and someone who knew the way the system worked. So I decided to take the experience and success I had with meeting facilitation and grant writing to an even broader audience.
Nothing makes me happier than bringing money to our region for organizations to use for great things. I have had the privilege of working in sectors such as public health, food access, real estate development, and arts education.
